Yellow Snake, Kwekwe — 100 t/day CIP plant

A 100-ton-per-day carbon-in-pulp plant — foundations, tanks, mill, and circuit delivered on the ground at Yellow Snake.

The works

Elandridge delivered a 100 t/day CIP plant at Yellow Snake, Kwekwe. The works run from the pad up: foundations and masonry, tanks erected on the circuit, then mill, walkways, and the plant in place.

01

Foundations

The plant starts in the ground. Pit, blockwork, and a concrete pad so tanks and mill have something true to sit on — not steel on raw earth.

  • Foundation excavation and blockwork at Yellow Snake
  • Concrete pad and brick enclosure for the CIP plant

02

Tank installation

Tanks go up on the pad: conical adsorption vessels, leach tanks, stairs, and walkways. An excavator on site to place steel that is too heavy to manhandle.

  • Excavator beside CIP tanks during installation
  • CIP tanks being installed on the Yellow Snake pad
  • Elevated CIP tanks and a leach tank at Yellow Snake
  • CIP tank train under assembly at Yellow Snake
  • Leach and adsorption tanks on the plant foundation
  • CIP tanks and walkways on the Yellow Snake pad

03

CIP circuit

A 100 t/day carbon-in-pulp circuit: tanks, mill, walkways, and power. This is the plant at Yellow Snake — steel in the ground, not a paper layout.

  • Walkways over CIP tanks at Yellow Snake, Kwekwe
  • CIP tanks and access stairs at Yellow Snake
  • Adsorption tanks on the Yellow Snake CIP circuit
  • Mill, tanks and control gear at the Yellow Snake CIP plant
